From Yasmin Everley's Astrology collection, the pendant takes the form of a circle, which the Ancient Greeks considered the most geometrically perfect shape. It holds a cluster of the stars, accurately forming the constellation, which is held suspended in space by delicate wire. The chain is a rope chain, reminiscent of both the sailors who have used these stars to navigate through the centuries and our coiling strands of DNA. This pendant usually comes in bright polished silver but also looks great in oxidised silver if you prefer. The side view shows Sagittarius but illustrates the three dimensional nature of the design.
In the Ancient Greek tale, Gemini represents the mythical twins Castor and Pollox. Leda was seduced by Zeus in the guise of a swan produced Pollox, son of Zeus, and Castor, her husband’s son. Despite one being divine and the other mortal the brothers were inseparable and chose to share Pollox’ immortality.
